Re: Sagan nos engaño

HOla esceptic0. Richard Dawkins trata el tema en su último libro «The greatest Show on Earth», transcribo parte de lo que dice (en el idioma original):

«My main reason for scepticism about the Huxley/Sagan theory is that the human brain is ddemonstrably eager to see faces in random patterns, as we know from scientific evidence, on top of the numerous legends about faces of Jesus, or the Virgin Mary, or Mother Theresa, being seen on slices of toast, or pizzas, or patches of damp on a wall»…..»I reluctantly suspect that the resemblance of Heikea to a samurai warrior is no more than an accident, much as I would like to believe it has been enhanced by natural selection».

A dawkins no le gusta que Sagan esté equivocado, a mi tampoco. Otros argumentos que dá, antes de ese párrafo, es que los cangrejos son muy chiquitos, y los pescadores eventualmente los iban a devolver al mar, tengan la cara parecida o nó.

Pero bueno…

PD: por alguna extraña razón, cuando voy a comprar un libro, y en el índice figura el nombre de Carl Sagan, me veo altamente tentado a considerar el libro mas serio de lo que tal vez es, o al menos de comprarlo con menos culpa. O sea, yo lo llamo mi «Índice Sagan».
