DeGroote School of Medicine.
Unlike chemotherapy and radiation, thioridazine appears to have no effect on normal stem cells.

Así si que se puede acelerar mucho el ensayo de drogas. Y aparentemente es uno de los motivos principales del paper publicado, así como también el descubrimiento de la acción antineoplásica de la Thioridazine y la importancia de la dopamina como biomarcador de cáncer: http://www.cell.com/abstract/S0092-8674(12)00571-5
Igualmente aún no ha sido probado en humanos. Habrá que estar atentos a los resultados de esos estudios.
