Un hombre fue a visitar a un amigo que tenía un loro encerrado en una jaula.
A lo largo de la conversación, el animal no paraba de gritar:
– ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad!
Cuando regresó a su casa no podía dejar de recordar la desgarradora petición de ayuda de aquella ave.
Por ello decidió urdir un plan que consistía en esperar a que el amigo se ausentara y entonces penetrar a su casa para liberar al loro.
Así lo hizo, y cuando alcanzó a abrir la portezuela de la jaula, el ave se refugió en la parte trasera de la prisión, aferrándose con todas sus fuerzas a los barrotes sin dejar de gritar:
– ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad! ¡Libertad!
